Year of Love Poster Design Contest

Posted On Friday May 29, 2020

Each year, in accordance with our board’s strategic plan, Discovery 2023, Renewing the Vision, we are tasked with developing an annual focus on a board-wide spiritual them in New Evangelization to be celebrated across the system. We are just completing our Year of Hope and will be moving into the 2020-21 spiritual theme, the Year of Love. This theme is based on the following scripture passage:

“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than this.” ~Mark 12:30-31~

To assist us with messaging for this upcoming spiritual theme, we are inviting all students in Grades 7-12 to submit a poster design that will be used for communication across our system in the 2020-21 Year of Love.

Completed poster designs and their accompanying explanations are to be emailed to: tish.sheppard@dcdsb.ca and must be received by 4:00 pm on Friday, June 19, 2020

A selection committee will notify the artists with the winning submission by June 25th, 2020. Attached is the criteria for this poster design contest. Thank you for your help with sharing this exciting opportunity with our Grade 7-12 students.
